You don't need to see the fire to breathe it in.

The wildfires raging in Spain, France, and other European countries are worsening air quality hundreds of kilometers away. Thousands of people are being exposed to PM2.5 concentrations far exceeding WHO recommended levels, even far from the flames.

These microscopic particles reach the deepest parts of the lungs and can even enter the bloodstream. Their impact extends beyond respiratory health: there is growing scientific evidence linking air pollution to cardiovascular disease and mental health problems.

At the Lovexair Foundation, we believe that addressing these challenges requires collaboration. That's why we are building strategic alliances with research institutions (most recently the Carlos III Health Institute), universities, public bodies, and international organizations to better understand how air quality and climate change affect human health.

At the heart of this ecosystem is Check@ir, our citizen science platform, which helps generate real, high-quality evidence directly from citizens to drive research, prevention, and better public policy 👉 https://app.happyair.org/checkair/guest

If you are part of a university, research center, company or organization interested in collaborating on research about air quality, climate and health, we would love to explore new partnerships.
