Asthma is the most common chronic disease in children, as well as the one that leads to the most hospitalizations and most school days lost.1
The Lovexair Foundation presents the 'Healthy Cities, for the improvement of childhood asthma' project in Madrid, to promote good respiratory health habits, as well as the correct diagnosis and control of asthma in children.
Coinciding with the start of the school year and as part of the project, the online training 'Asthma, Sports and Health' is launched, which aims to provide primary education teachers with greater knowledge of respiratory health, in general, and asthma in particular.
'Healthy cities' will carry out various awareness-raising activities in the Spanish capital. On October 7, the CEIP Pintor Rosales will host a fun-educational day so that parents and children learn more about the implications of suffering from the disease.
The project has the endorsement of the Spanish Association of Primary Care Pediatrics (AEPap), the Spanish Society of Clinical Immunology, Allergology and Pediatric Asthma (SEICAP), the Spanish Society of Pediatric Pneumology (NEUMOPED -SENP) and the Education Foundation for Health (FUNDADEPS); as well as with the support of the Department of Health of the Community of Madrid, the Madrid City Council, and the collaboration of Novartis.
Next Thursday, September 29 at 10:30 a.m., the initiative 'Healthy Cities, for the improvement of childhood asthma' will be presented at a press conference.
