The recent I International Congress on Rare Respiratory Diseases held in Valencia has recognized the work presented by the Lovexair Foundation, the comparative table of minority respiratory diseases which aims in a graphic and structured way to offer a clear vision of the symptoms and signs of each of the diseases and their diagnosis and treatment.

The work has been coordinated by Eva Maroto and Cecilia Fueyo. It has had the supervision of doctors Marc Miravitlles, from the Department of Pulmonology of the Val d'Hebrón University Hospital and Ignacio Abaitua Head of Area of ​​the Carlos III Rare Diseases Research Institute and with the support of Boehringer Ingelheim, AFEFPI, Federation Spanish Association of Cystic Fibrosis and the National Association of Sarcoidosis Patients.

This first table is the first milestone of a work that will last throughout the year.

This year 2016, as part of our objective of promoting knowledge of minority respiratory diseases, the Foundation has designed the “Lovexair guidelines for professionals on minority respiratory diseases”.

Every month, and for a year, the Foundation will publish an easy-to-read guide dedicated to a different respiratory pathology. All the contents will be supervised by renowned pulmonologists who are experts in each of the pathologies, in addition to the patient associations that work for each of them. The 12 deliveries -available in a printable version and for tablet reading- will be aimed, mainly, at health professionals with the aim of offering them attractive and practical reference material that helps them recognize the parameters that describe these pathologies.
