Pathways is a 3-year project launched by the European Union and which contributes to the “Development of innovative approaches to promote the professional integration and reintegration of people with chronic diseases and improve their employment possibilities”. Patients suffering from chronic illnesses and mental disorders frequently suffer from work-related problems. The objective is to detect these work-related needs and develop European guides that lay the foundations for establishing strategies that contribute to improving the integration of these people into the labor market.
From the Lovexair Foundation we actively collaborate in this project to establish new ways of addressing a problem that affects chronic patients. The aim is to improve your chances of getting a job in Europe.

Through this project they want to know the difficulties that chronic patients encounter in their working life and thus analyze how to counteract these obstacles.
Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) has been identified as one of the 6 diseases that generate the greatest impact within the European workplace. After this analysis, the project researchers have requested collaboration to find out the needs and minimize the difficulties of those people who are of working age (18 to 65 years).
Thanks to your participation in this online survey, it will be possible to continue advancing to find out the problems that chronic patients face in their working lives, among which COPD patients stand out, since together with diabetes, migraine, headache , depression, low back and neck pain and ischemic heart disease, have been identified as the diseases that involve the most costs in Europe and on which it is necessary to invest resources to achieve more optimal conditions within the workplace.
The Pathways consortium is made up of 12 research teams from 10 European countries. This initiative is co-financed by the European Union Health Program.
