How can we achieve real patient empowerment?
The Lovexair Foundation collaborates in the organization of the HIMSS Europe and Heatlth 2.0 Conference, an event that includes the participation of the Dutch Ministry of Health in order to explore and learn about the technological advances that will transform health. Without a doubt, a great opportunity for patients and patient associations, since the entire international eHealth community will meet on this day.
Within this framework, the Patient Forum 2.0 (#patients20) has the honor to invite you to participate as a patient, caregiver, or representative of a patient organization or association.
Currently, patients have access to digital solutions, what we call Health 2.0, which allows them to have a more active role in their health. For this reason, society increasingly seeks to have a greater decision-making capacity about their health, and for this they demand information and solutions that allow them to take care of themselves.
Now more than ever, patients have access to Health 2.0 solutions, allowing them to take a more active role in their health, impact their care plans and participate in research.
However, can we point out that patient empowerment has gone mainstream, or is it only patients who have access to technology who are privileged to be empowered?
For this reason, this interactive forum is a great opportunity for patients and caregivers to exchange knowledge, share experiences and see first-hand the latest advances in digital tools related to the healthcare field. In turn, you will be able to participate in round tables and meet health professionals, start-ups, entrepreneurs and large IT providers. In this way we will be able to discuss the great challenges that we face in the new era of digital health.

In turn, we will also prepare a dossier that will collect all the conclusions drawn from this day. The report will be published after the end of the "Health 2.0 European 2018 Conference", which will include testimonials to move towards a more active role on the part of the patient and promote solutions that contribute to improving their quality of life.
