Coinciding with the start of the school year, the sports center of the Pintor Rosales school in Madrid will host on October 7, from 18:20 p.m. to XNUMX:XNUMX p.m., a playful day in which, through educational games and workshops, information will be offered to parents and children on the management of asthma, a pathology with a high incidence in children. This initiative is part of the "Healthy Cities, for the improvement of childhood asthma" campaign, launched by the Lovexair Foundation and the Roger Torné Foundation with the aim of promoting good respiratory health habits, as well as the correct diagnosis and control of asthma in the children. And it is that asthma is the most frequent chronic disease in children, the one that induces more hospitalizations and more days of school lost. In Spain, it affects around 11% of children between 6 and 7 years old, 9% of adolescents between 13 and 14 years old and around 5% of the adult population.
The campaign includes school workshops with educational content -available at http://mejorandoelasmainfantil.com/ -aimed at teachers and schools interested in training students on respiratory health; as well as fun days for families in which games and educational workshops will be offered by doctors and pediatricians who will explain the basic and essential concepts about asthma.
