5th Ibero-American Summit of the Respiratory Community

The future of lung health research

We are increasingly exposed to the impact of climate change, air quality degradation and emerging diseases. The number of people affected by respiratory conditions is growing significantly, yet the resources to meet their care needs continue to decline.

In this sense, research plays a fundamental role in connecting the actors in the health system, providing quality, scientifically based information for decision-making, and promoting new knowledge for a healthy, prosperous and more equitable global society.

Shane Fitch
“The 5th Ibero-American Summit analyzes the current challenges facing research and the significant absence of investment for respiratory diseases.”
