The lovexair project was initiated by Shane Fitch in 2009, and inspired by the work of the President of The Alpha-1 Foundation, and the establishment of the COPD Foundation, 2008 USA. It was designed to offer a window of support, to a society confronted by the problems of a growing world-wide population of COPD sufferers.

The project launch was developed to offer a platform to respond to the current GARD plan 2009-2013 developed by WHO: Global Alliance for Respiratory Disease.

We are an international team of people, from different professional backgrounds, agile, flexible, and committed to the project concept and to the same objectives:

• Create awareness in society about COPD (Chronic Obstructive Respiratory Disease).

• Provide solutions to prevent its development and improve the quality of life, well-being of those people affected, and by consequence their family and care-givers.

• Support health-care professionals, and public and private health-care institutions, and collaborate with industry to offer solutions to this community.
